THE Netherlands STUDENT VISA

For international students

Students are required to obtain Provincial Residence Permit, known as Machtiging tot Voorlopig Verblijf (MVV). The host university applies for MVV on the student’s behalf.

Once you enter Netherlands, you immediately need to apply for VVR or a Residence Permit. The VVR might also be applied by the host university. VVR is valid for the duration of the study program and permitted for study purposes only. It stays valid only if the student scores 50% of credit throughout the course duration.
